Good Relations (the lingerie store) the complex choreography of the Royal Kinetic Madness band horn section May 28, 2006 - Day Two - Eureka

A beautiful Humboldt County day - complete with real sunshine greets the racers, spectators and the band.

The Madness band played and
entertained spectators on the boardwalk,
tortured the pigeons at the gazebo,
sang for the drunks at the irish bar,
and completely stunned the
employees of the lingerie shop.

It was a full day.

11:30 The band assembles for the Madness of day two.

Chris looks lost.

11:55 The band meanders toward the center of activity and down the boardwalk

12:03 - A giant cat floats down the bay. The madness continues.

12:11 - One of the band favorites floats on by. The RKMB interpretation of the music of John Williams fills the air.

(That means we played Star Wars for the crew of the “KU-7 Womprat”)

12:45 With most of the racers having floated on by - and the crowd thinning, the need for an executive decision arises.

12:46 realizing there are no executives, and that the band is a psuedo-stalinistic group collective.... blah blah blah

12:46:33 The band heads for the nearest pub.

12:50 - 1:45 Consumption of fried goodness, tasty brew and artichoke dip commences at the Irish Pub. A semi-impromptu concert concludes the visit.

1:50 The band leaves the bar and heads east up 2nd street to the complex sounds of Louie, Louie.

1:52 Band members, some distracted and some just completly unaware -
march into Good Relations, the local purveyor of skimpy underwear.

1:52:42 To no ones surprise, (except perhaps the employees)
a purely musical performance of “The Stripper” ensues in the lingerie store.

2:00 The band finds an empty stage with a semi-captive audience. The band plays. Most people stay. The rest give dirty looks and shout obscenities in foreign languages.

2:15 After clearing the gazebo area of people with a rousing rendition of “Iron Man” - the band calls it a day and rubber ducks out.
